The problem is not guns or their availability, it is the mentality of our society. In the first place, crazy people are going to find a way to perpetrate their desire to kill people with or without guns. In the second place, if the teachers were armed they may have prevented the massacre. It appears the school did everything correctly but it didn't matter, it happened anyway. I'm not saying teachers should be armed or anyone else for that matter, what I am saying is that people are the problem not guns. We are a free country and we are losing our rights very quickly as it is, as did the people of Hitler's Germany.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think anybody needs assault weapons but that's not where they will stop. If they take away any rights whatsoever then they will take the next one and the next one and so on. If you want to protect the poor defenseless children in our schools that's understandable. Who's going to protect them from being spoiled rotten, having a bad attitude or listening to the dribble that would turn them into compliant liberals. People without guns or rights are much easier to control when they don't have thoughts of their own. Hitler did it to some very intelligent people, so why are we so arrogant as to think it won't happen to us if we let it?
